Louise Garland (née Kendle) joined Kev and Jason at the family business, bringing her expertise in media, marketing, and communications.

The Merlin Business System had native integration between its modules in order to be a complete software solution for retail businesses. It was released to market in 2000 and Kendle Computer Services needed someone experienced with press releases to launch this complex product. Louise was responsible for creating and executing the marketing strategy for the Merlin Business System, as well as rolling it out to existing clients and Breeze users.

Amid the excitement of our product launch, we rebranded with the new name of Merlin Software Pty Ltd.

The Merlin Business System was a huge success, as it offered a complete and integrated solution for retail management, including inventory, sales, accounting, reporting, and more. It also had a modular and flexible design that allowed it to adapt to different industries and business sizes.

The Growth and Expansion of Merlin Software Pty Ltd

Louise was appointed to the position of Managing Director in 2003. Kev, after 22 years, would step into an advisory role while Louise would lead the business into the 21st century, continuing to grow and expand the business, reaching more clients and markets across Australia.
