How does it work?

 

The integration of the Nutrien Ordering Portal with Cobalt RMS means that Cobalt users can access Nutrien’s online ordering platforms directly from Cobalt Sales. This means that users can place online orders with Nutrien without leaving Cobalt Sales. It also allows users to view and import product information, pricing, and stock availability from Nutrien. As a result, Cobalt users always have the most up-to-date and accurate data when ordering. 

What are the benefits of the integration?

 

Cobalt RMS’s Nutrien Ordering Portal significantly enhances the ordering process. Some of the benefits of the integration include but are not limited to:

  • Full access to Nutrien Product Catalogue: Data for over 100,000 product lines across various categories, such as animal health, crop protection, fertiliser, hardware, and more. Cobalt users can order price on application (POA) products and set their own prices or request a quote.
  • Flexible and insightful ordering with real-time data: Users enter either their Cobalt product codes, or Nutrien item numbers to identify articles. The Nutrien Ordering Portal provides real-time access to Nutrien pricing and stock availability for both warehouse and direct supplier orders. Clients can see the expected delivery date and freight charges for their orders, or arrange their own transportation.
  • Speedy product setup: Products that have not yet been stocked can easily be imported from the Nutrien Catalogue, saving setup time and hassle in transferring details. Clients can also use the integration to update their existing products in Cobalt Sales based on the data available via the Nutrien Ordering Portal.
  • Efficient inventory management: Clients can view their stock on hand and cost information, use their sales history and min/max information to create order lists, and access their OPAS shopping lists within Cobalt Sales. Orders can be processed and receive confirmation immediately, or be suspended for review prior to processing. These features help retailers using Cobalt RMS to make informed decisions and optimise their inventory levels.
  • More supplier information: Place multi-supplier orders in one process, or centralise ordering for a multi-site business, thanks to the end-to-end integration between Nutrien & Merlin Software. These features help users to find the products they need quickly and easily, and get the best deals from Nutrien and other suppliers.
